It was very difficult to get a good photo of Marco on his birthday. He was making funny faces all of the time. But here he is with his new mp3.He had a very nice birthday and a lot of great presents.
Here is a photo of the banner I made for him. I made some more photo's of it but they all where too dark. This isn't a great photo too, I just noticed that a part of a head is on the photo too.

And finally it snowed here last week. It was such a lovely sight to see that snow everywhere. As soon as I came home from work I made a couple of photo's.Because I know that here in the netherlands we hardly ever get snow and when we get it , it's gone before you know it.The first photo is taken at the front of our house, and the second is from our garden.

And here are some new containers with hyacinths.

I don't like blogger at the moment!!!
I have switched to the new blogger and I have been trying to post for a couple of days.
First it didn't let me post at all and today I could write but couldn't place photo's.
Then suddenly blogger was nice and let me post some photo's too.

I have been shopping today and I found these 2 lovely cannisters( I hope that's the correct word, I looked it up on an online dictionary. But they sometimes are making weird translations.)

And I also found this lovely cushion.

It's Marco's birthday on friday and I'm making him a blue banner. I made a pink one for us girls but he said he definitely didn't want a pink banner hanging in our livingroom friday Ü.
I will make some photo's of it tomorrow.
I'm also making some nice things for 2 swaps that I'm participating in. I will place photo's when it's done.

I don't know what happened but blogger was acting real strange these last couple of weeks. It just wouldn't let me post on my blog but I also couldn't write a comment on other peoples blogs!! I really hated that!!!!!But so far it seems to work again.

I have been tagged by Marita to name 6 weird things about myself and then I have to ask 6 people to do the same.
Now I must think very hard........6 weird things..........
1, I love thunderstorms. A lot of people think that's weird that I love them.
2, I cry easily when I see something sad on tv
3, I love to write letters to my penpals the old fashioned way with pen and paper
4, I don't like talking over the phone
5, I like peanutbutter with chocolat sprinkles on my sandwiches
6, I'm someone that has it cold very easy, but I love the winter when it's freezing and snowing.

Now I will look for 6 people to pass this on.

I have 1 more photo of a swap .
This is what I send for the vintage christmas swap to Lia . I had a lot of fun making things and searching for vintage items on fleamarkets and thriftshops. I still have to make some extra photo's of the wonderful things that Lia send to me.

Recently I have completed my magic yarnbal and it's send to my swap partner ,it's a Dutch swap and we have secret partners. It was such a great swap! I can't place a photo of it here because then I won't be a secret swap partner anymore Ü........

I went to a couple of bookstores here to buy some Christmas magazines from other countries. I couldn't find them anymore!!!!!! They just have stopped selling Christmas magazines from other countries .... can you believe that!
That's so sad for me cause I love those christmas magazines.
Is there anybody that might be interested in a christmas magazine swap with me????
I would be thrilled if there is , please let me know.

I went to the first Stitch and Bitch day here in the Netherlands last Saturday, and I had a wonderful time!
It was held in an old factory and there was room for lots of knitting and talking, you could buy lots of beautiful yarns and knitting books. And there where lectures and workshops. The big event for me was that Debbie Stoller was also there.I have one of her books and I love it. Of course I had to buy her latest book , the Happy Hooker.
She also signed her books there. I went to one of her lectures and to her workshop about crochet. I had a great time.
I also went to a shadow kniytting workshop.
I had a lot of fun that day and also learned some things.I forgot the bring my camera with me so there are no photo's of that day.....
I will make some photo's of the lovely yarn that I bought when the battery is loaded afgain.

I bought this lovely snowman head last week, it's so cute.
I was in a wonderful swap for the elves: a vintage christmas swap. I will post photo's of what I send when my swap partner receives hers. Here is what I received from my swap partner Lia. I will make more photo's of it after the batteries are loaded again. I loved all the wonderful things she send me.

Here are some christmas cones I made for another swap. I also want to make some to send to friends and for myself.

Then another swap. I found a wonderful site about swapping a little while ago, it's called gimme your stuff. I found a nice lady from Singapore that wanted to swap with me. She sended lots of nice things. I specially LOVE the japanese knitting magazine, it's full with lots of beautiful things. There is no photo of what I send to her , becuase I forgot to make a photo of it..............

Look what I received in the mail last week!
I recently joined a yahoo group for a magic ball swap.I was very happy when I opened the parcel and found this lovely ball of yarn in it.There are a couple of gifts put inside the ball and some where on the outside. Now I'm searching for a pattern so I can start knitting with this beautiful yarn and of course so I can see what my swap partner has put in it..........exhiting!!!!!!!
She also made me a beautiful patchwork card.I'm very curious who was my swap partner, as it was a secret swap.
I'm still working on mine but I hope to have it ready in a couple of days.

And here are some brooches I received from another swap I was in. It's the pin/ brooche swap from swap-bot. I have received some beautiful crochet brooches and also a bird brooche but I seem to have lost that photo. And of course the batteries of our digital camera where empty.......But I will post a photo of it in another post.
