One small change - February,

My change for January went very well. I managed to say no to all the plastic bags they where offering me in the shops. Only once I needed that plastic bag becuaseI bought some clothes and they didn't fit in my fabric bags I carry in my purse. but I used it to collect all the plastic items in so I can bring it to the recycle container for plastics.

My change for February is to dry al my laundry in the air or in the attic on a clothing rack and not to use our dryer.

Here is a photo of our dogs on the right above is our oldest dog Duke. He turned 14 last year November . He is now really getting old. He is almost completely deaf and some of the time we think that he is forgetting lots of things and sometimes he seems not to know what to do .But he still seems to enjoy himself and he still loves to take a walk with our other dogs. He walks slowly and the other ones are running.
Hopefully he can be with us for some time.

And here is a photo of our youngest dog Abbey running together with her sister Lotje.

A couple of months ago I began to read the book Twilight by Stephanie Meyers and I fell completely in love with it. I just had to keep reading it untill I finished the last page, it's so good!!!!!!!
Then I had to buy the other 2 books also and I finished them in no time at all, boy they're good. Sadly now I have to wait untill March or April when book number 4 is translated in Dutch. I read many books in English as well
but since the other books are in Dutch I decided to wait.
And off course I have also seen the movies Twilight and New Moon and I think they're amazing!
Last week I began reading another great book and it looks a bit the same as Twilight. It's called the Vampires diary and I noticed that on Sunday the 31th it will be on TV. I can't wait to see it.
In December I joined a wonderful swap over at Ravelry. And I received some wonderful things. Off course I have forgotton to make photo's of the things that I send to Paula.... But here are the wonderful things she send to me.

I just LOVE these yarns. It's cotton and it's so very soft! I haven't seen anything like it here before.

A great washcloth made by Paula.

And she also made me this gorgious bag.

In December I also participated in another great swap, but those photo's I still have to download from my camera so I will post about it soon.

Finally back in blogging land.It really has been a long time since I have been here.I have tried to post here several times but something was wrong and blogger wouldn't let me near my blog. Even now it's still acts a bit weird and not everything is showing on my computer. But I thought I give it a try.

I am trying to become more aware of how we deal with mother nature.
I have found a couple of lovely blogs lately and they got me thinking more and more about it. One of the blogs talks about making a small change every month for the next coming months and I have decided to join this challenge.I am a bit late with it because it started allready on the beginning of Januar, but my small change this month is that I don't want to receive plastic bags anymore and only use my cloth bags. So from now I have 2 small folded bags with me all time.

The blog on which the small challenge can be found is http://hipmountainmamablog.com/

On saturday the 1th of August our dog Meghan gave birth to her puppies. It was a nice and easy birth , of which we where very glad because her mother had 2 difficult and heavy labours.
The first one was born at 06.15 but unfortunately he was dead. My husband and me tried to get him back but unfortunately that didn't succeed. The next puppy arrived soon and was doing great.Number 5 and also the last arrived around 08.00. So now we have 2 boys and 2 girls and so far they're doing great!
And they're soooooo cute! I can watch them all day.
Here are some photo's of them.

I have participated in a great swap called the cosy crochet swap. My swap partner was Felicity from http://joshyandbelle.blogspot.com
She has a wonderful blog that you really must see. she makes some gorgious crochet items and she makes great photo's of them.
I'm real glad that she was my swap partner and I will definately follow her on her blog.look at the wonderful things she send me.
She had wrapped them so great but somehow blogger is acting weird since a couple of days and it makes it hard for me to post here and somehow it won't let me post this photo that I made of the whole package.

First she send me these great vintage magazines.

Then these lovely potholder and coaster she crocheted.

And isn't this lovely. Sorry for this upside down photo, that's the work of this weird acting blogger again!

Look at that gorgious little flower she made!

I have found a wonderful place for it, but I allready have some other great places for it on my mind.

Here are the things I made her. This is so lovely cotton yarn and it comes in such lovely colours.

And another upside down photo. These are cute teapot coasters.

I also send her some vintage doilies but I forgot to take photo's from them.
I have some more photo's but I'm not sure if I'm able to post them so I will try again soon.
There is something I wanted to ask. When I open my blog it seems that it looks different to me.Normally my links, archive etc is on the left side but now I have to scroll all the way down to see them and also the looks of my blog has changed, it's now completely white with some green on top. Now is my question if you also see it this way or not. Please let me know. Thanks.

At the moment I'm crocheting these granny squares. It's a wonderfull thing to do when I'm watching tv, sitting in the garden or in the car.
I'm only using these 3 coloures.
I noticed on a couple of other blogs some more granny squares in lovely green and purple colours and I'm thinking of using those colours in another granny square blanket.

I'm also working on a lovely stitchery that I found on a lovely blog
It's really worth a visit.
There are also other projects that I'm working on but I still have to make photo's of those.
Hopefully I can find sometime to do that tomorrow.
