I don't know why but it looks like blogger doesn't like me very much. I wasn't able to post for a while and just now I uploaded some photo's and that's it. He just refused again!
But after waiting for a while I was able to post the last photo's.
These are photo's from a swap I received from Veronica.
She send me all these wonderful handmade things.

This hat is wonderful and very warm, I just LOVE it.

And Veronica did the crocheting edge and the lovely pumpkin embroidery.

And look at this cute knitted apple.

So cute!

stitch & Bitch day in Rotterdam

On the 3th of november I have been to the second Dutch Stitch & Bitch day that was held in Rotterdam. It was a great day, with a lot of knitters knitting & bitching, workshops, yarn,..........
This was the very large knitting table where you could sit and do some knitting and chatting.

There where some special gasts that day. They gave workshops and lectures.
From left to right there was Nancy Marchant, Jean Moss, Debbie Stoller and Kerstin Jonsson.

Here they are again at the official opening of the day.

I have participated in a workshop from Debbie Stoller. She thaught us double knitting. As an example she brought this great scarf. Unfortunately everytime I wanted to photograph it she moved it. So this was the best photo.

She is a real nice and funny lady and I'm glad that I had the chance to be in her workshop.
I have also done a workshop with Nancy Marchant about a beret in brioche stitch and a lecture from Jean Moss. She told us about the beginning of her live as a designer and showed us many lovely sweaters she designed.

And on the 5th November my husband, daughters and myself went to a concert of
Michael Bublé. It was absolutely a fantastic concert and we all loved it very much. We took some photo's but unfortunately there was too much light and smoke so I don't have a good photo.
But here is a photo of him that I found online and also a link to a video of his latest song "lost"on you tube.

I have been tagged by Elly from http://myeverydaythings.blogspot.com/ a while ago.
The rules are

1- Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog
2- Share 7 random and/of weird facts about yourself (on your blog, we all want to know them!)3- Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs

4- Let each person know that they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog
Here it goes

1 -I'm addicted to chocolate. If I have some in my house I just can't leave it alone and have to eat it.

2- I love to burn lots and lots of candles. And I just love scented candles, when I have bought a new one I have to go near them and smell them again and again.

3-I just love to decorate my house. Making new corners everywhere every week.

4 - I love the colour pink.

5- I have to knit every day. Sometimes I just don't have time to do some knitting, but then I try to knit a couple of rows anyway.

6- I love to buy old, vintage plates, teacups and teapots, in blue& white or red & pink flowers. I have them in my cupboard and in some corners of my home. Even though my cupboard is full, I have to buy that lovely, vintage plate or cup when I see one.

7-I have way too many hobbies and not enough hours in a day Ü.

Now it's my turn to tag 7 people, let's see.........

http://miaslandliv.blogspot.com/ Mia

http://dutch-blue.blogspot.com/ Corry

I hope that you will like it. If you don't , that's ok too. You don't have to play along if you don't want to.

I don't know what was wrong with blogger. I have tried for days to post but it just wouldn't let me do it. So now I gave it another try and at the second attempt I was able to post again! Finally!!!!
But now I have a lot of things to show so I devide them over a couple of posts.
This is what I received from my sp11 pal. She send me some wonderful things again. I was knitting with the gorgious sock yarn she send me in September when the doorbell rang. I noticed the postman so I ran to the door to get the parcel that he was holding. I'm sure that he must have thought what a crazy lady is that Ü.

Here is what I received. This lovely magazine that's full with great patterns. I wish that we had such great magazines here in the netherlands.

This lovely blue baby bamboo yarn. Isn't the colour just gorgious!

And some very nice alpaca yarn in the colours lilac and purple. Unfortunately the colours are a bit hard to see on the photo.

Some very tasty chocolat and a great keyring with an English Springer Spaniel( how thoughtfull as we have 3 of them walking around here.)

This is a dishcloth I made a while ago.

And here is finally my finished san man original Halloween pillowcushion.I have started this stitchery last year , but it was allready close to Halloween and I didn't finish it on time.So I picked it up a while ago and I decided to make a small pillow from it. I really love the way it looks. Now I have to finish the Halloween pattern I started stitching a while ago and hopefully I can finish that tonight.

Here are some lovely things I received from my new penfriend Manon. She is also from the Netherlands and it's amazing to see how many things we have in common!
She knows how much I love Christmas so she send me this cute embellishment from snowmans. They are adorable.

And she also send me these 2 lovely doilies.

She also has a lovely blog, you can find it here

I'm finally back with a post on my blog.
At the moment I'm knitting some Christmas gifts, I can't tell more because they sometimes are looking at my blog.........
This is allready finished since wednesday but I won't show the photo because it's obvious what it is. It was fun and easy to make and the wool ( scheepjes wol) I found at the thriftshop and I only payed 50 cents for a skein. It's 80% wool so that was a nice bargain. They had 6 skeins and I bought them all.

And here is another knitting project I'm working on. It's going to be a top for myself and I'm almost finished with the front and the back. But I'm not sure if I have enough yarn. Acording to the pattern I should have enough but this is allready my last skein.I just keep my fingers crossed.

I made this photo last night.
I always love to burn lots of candles and during Fall and Winter I burn even more candles.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Here a view from my livingroom through the kitchen......
One of our dogs is always very nosy and he is taking a look through the window.

These are some ornaments I bought last week. They had lots of nice ornaments so I couldn't choose.
These hearts are great and can be used for anything.I was thinking about using it as a label on a gift.

These are sooo lovely, I adore angels.I'm going to find a nice place for them.

And here are some Christmas ornaments, I just couldn't resist buying them.

This is what I'm knitting at the moment. This is going to be a short sleeved top for myself. It's just a very easy pattern, great to do while watching tv.The other top that I was knitting is being put away.I keep making mistakes so I did a lot of frogging.............maybe one day I'm going to try it again.
Here are my cross stitch projects I'm working on.
Maybe I'm going to frame it or turn it into a small pillow, I don't know it yet.

And this is a tiny stitching that I will turn into a scissors fob.

I belong to a nice cross stitchers group on the internet and we're having some exchanges going on. This is the kitted up freebie exchange I put together for last month.
I put the freebie kit in this selfmade fabric bag.

I belong to a wonderful dutch forum, all the woman there love to decorate their house with beautiful furniture and decorations. We had a forumday last week, it was a lovely day. We have never met each other in real live. We only have talked to each other on the forum. But it was so great to meet everybody.
We all brought someting to eat or drink with us and the first part of the day we talked and talked and talked some more . Then we had lunch and then we had a lovely workshop, painting and decorating a bottle and turned it into an oillamp.
We also made a present and we didn't know for who it was.It just felt like Sinterklaas ( a Dutch holiday ) with all those presents.
I received those wafels you see on this photo. They're not real, but for decoration. Aren't they great!
On this photo you also see one of the oillamps I made.

Here are the presents that I made, 2 lavenderbags.

Here are all the bottles of that day.The other one I made is the thirth on the left.

Next month it's Haloween! I have started this on wednesday evening. It's a lovely cross stitch pattern I found on the internet. Hopefully I have it finished before Halloween.

Last year I began to stitch this smo(San Man original). Unfortunately it didn't get finished in time and I just put it away . Last week I found it again and and as you can see it's almost finished now.

And here it's done!!!!!!!
I have allready found some purple fabric so I hope to make a small wall hanging out of it this weekend.

And this is a part of what I'm making for the picasa forum day on the 25th September. We have planned a day where we come together and do something crafty, lots of talking, eating...........
Each one of is going to make a present( I don't tell what I'm going to make ,it's a secret............), so on the 25th we each get a present but we don't know what or from who.
